It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sterling M. Pickens Sr. (Wheatfield, Indiana), who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sterling Sr. Pickens and Goldie Pickens (Ramsey); his wife Naomi Kinder; his sister Brenda Denya; and his brother-in-law John Gravely.

He is survived by : his son Sterling'Lee'Pickens; his siblings, Margaret Brown (James), Becky Gravely and Ernie Pickens (Donna); his siblings-in-law, Joanna Thompson, Fred Kinder (Sheryl), Joseph Kinder and Jullinna Kinder; and his niece Beverly Scaife (Delano).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Boersma Funeral Home (90 E Grove St, Wheatfield, IN 46392).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
