He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Johnson and Betty Johnson (Douglas); his brother Bob Johnson; his grandson Christopher Moss; and his daughter-in-law Destiny Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie Elston; his children, Bill Johnson and Radar Johnson; his grandchildren, Phoenix Johnson, Samara Johnson, Kash Johnson, Londyn Johnson and Zayne Johnson; and his brother Jack Johnson (Vicki).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rush University Medical Center.
