With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Lee Byrd of Whiteland, Indiana, who passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gerald departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gerald leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Silas Byrd; his brothers, Joseph Byrd and Jeffrey Byrd; and his stepfather Edward Trammell. He is survived by: his mother Rose Marie Byrd Trammell (Cole); his wife Tricia Byrd (Hall); his children, Matthew Byrd, Zachary Byrd, Jalene Bethel (David), Meagan Fosnight and Sarah Carmack (Kyle); and his sister Jacqueline Barnes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
