With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James R. Devney (Whiteland, Indiana), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Inlow (Devney) and John Devney; his sisters, Ramona Gause, Glory McNulty, Donna Williams, Patty Ambs and Carole Wilson; and his uncle Norman Yates.

He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Davis; his children, Jamie Devney and Jennifer Walters (John); his grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson (Cody), Morganne Devney, Jessica Edwards, Jordanne Counts (Clayton), Meaghan Haines (Conner), Payton Walters (Victor) and Eli Walters; and his siblings, Martine Thibo, Judy Wylie and John Devney. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Pastor Jim can be made to GracePoint Church.
