He was predeceased by: his parents, Otley Nixon and Perna Nixon (Rainey); his spouse Beverly Jeanne Kichler; his stepson Stanley Kichler; and his siblings, Allison Nixon, Alan Merle Nixon, Gene Nixon, Charles Nixon, James Nixon and Luvada Suagee.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Sharon Cruse (Jack), Roi Kichler and Jennifer Perkins (Aaron); his grandchildren, Kari Hunley (Scott), Bryson Cruse, Joann Eldridge (Devin) and Whitney James (Chaney); his great grandchildren, Brennan, Collin, Austin McIntosh, Abbie Hardy, Asher Sharpe and Onyx James; his sisters, Pauline Hatfield and Emma Bender; and his girlfriend Ruby Jewel Whitt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home (2898 N Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
