With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Wesley Wilson in Whitestown, Indiana, born in Otwell, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his wife Stephanie Cornett Wilson; his parents, Roy Wilson and Bessie Wilson; his siblings, Paul Wilson, Doris Crispin and Caroline Wilson; his grandson John Horner; and his sister-in-law Ann Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Julie A. Wood of Advance, Indiana and James W. Wilson Jr. (Wenjie) of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Bethany Wilson of Evans, Georgia and Caleb Wilson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; his siblings, David Wilson (Karon Gooding) of Wallace, Stephen Wilson (Cindy) of Portland, Tennessee, Catherine Williams (Paul) of Cleveland, Evangeline Hawa (Fouad) of Evansville and Karen Hoff (Robert) of Nashville, Tennessee; and his former wife Jueleen Avery-Priebe (Peffley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sanders Funeral Care (203 S 1st St, Kingman, IN 47952). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, 453 South State Road 341, Hillsboro, IN 47949.
