He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Christy Schmittel, Samantha Doughty, Charles Schmittel, Jr. (Tiffany), Nichole Mariani (Mario) and Steven Schmittel; his grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany), Danielle (Ulises), Beck, Caydence, Paige, Marie, Alyssa and Harper; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel and Sophia; his siblings, Richard Schmittel (Marge) and Deborah Arnold (late Mike); and his parents, Arnold Schmittel and Elizabeth "Betty" Schmittel (Briggs). He was also cherished by his family and friends.
