It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ilene Haluska of Whiting, Indiana, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Haluska and Anna Marie Haluska; and her siblings, Patricia Haluska, Kenneth, Kathleen Haluska and John Haluska.
She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Haska (Haluska) (Maureen Gannon), Mary Beth Bogucki (Mark), Dorothy Haluska, Andrew Haluska Jr. (Vikhanh) and Thomas Haluska (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. James the Less Church (9640 Kennedy Ave, Highland, IN 46322).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
