Janel Zubeck Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janel Zubeck of Whiting, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister-in-law Lorraine Krueger (Paul); and her parents, Anthony Companik and Mary Companik. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Zubeck; her children, Marc Zubeck (Colleen) and Nicole Jeanblanc (Wes); her brother Bruce Companik (Sara); and her brother-in-law Richard Zubeck (late Beverly). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
