He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia Aponte; and his sons, George Aponte Jr. and Wilfred Aponte. He is survived by: his sons, David Aponte (Janice) and Robert Aponte (Denise); and his grandchildren, Melissa Aponte, George Aponte (Nicole), Matthew Aponte (Anngelik), Justin Guettner, Jeremy Aponte, Jason Aponte, Shannon McClure (Austin), Hunter Aponte and Lucas Aponte. He is also survived by Several great grandchildren, many siblings, nieces and nephews.
