With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph J. Baran of Whiting, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his brother Edward Baran, Jr. (Nancy); and his mother Gabriella Baran (Masura). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his grandchildren, Randall Holland (Jen Helton), Katie Funk (David), Natalee, Charlie, Sean, Kathryn Holland, Sophie, Davie and Vivi Funk; his brother David Baran (Debra Timko); his godson Michael Baran (Michelle); his great-niece Hailey; his great-nephew Tyler Baran; his close friends, Tom Rogina and Rich Taylor; and his father Edward Baran.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or the New Life Christian Church, Whiting, would be appreciated.
