Karen Kuzniar Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 25, 2026, at the age of 82, Karen Kuzniar of Whiting, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandfather John Durkin; her father James P. Durkin; her brother James M. Durkin; her mother Elizabeth "Nana" Durkin of Sault Ste; her mother-in-law Violet Kuzniar; and her friend Chris Rau.

She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Kimberly Novick (Greg Lewandowski), John Novick (Dana Angotti-Novick), David Novick and Dawn Kuzniar; her grandchildren, Christopher Serna (Renee Madrid), Arron Serna, Wayne Kramer and Hailey Kramer (Michael Bennett); her siblings-in-law, Katie, Ellen, Tina, Rita, Dolly and Eddie; her nephew Tim; and her nieces, Amy, Elizabeth and Maureen.
