With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lenore R. Lazur of Whiting, Indiana, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Lenore had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Lenore may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Lazur and Mary Lazur (Gmitter); and her siblings, Mary Janik, Margaret Fekete and Rev. Joseph Lazur.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A prayer was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
