Mary touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Mary’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Michael Horvat, Jr.; and her children, Kathy Terrell (Pat), Susan Horvat, Michael Horvat (Tina) and Marjorie Spiering (Gary). She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM, on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM.
