Richard G. Mikola Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard G. Mikola of Whiting, Indiana, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Mikola (Theobald); his sisters, Margaret Boland and Helen Rowland; and his parents, Michael Mikola and Sara Mikola (Lux).
He is survived by: his children, Rose Hirsch (Jon), Richard, Michaele and Mark Mikola (Anna); his grandchildren, Jillian Hirsch, Ava and Nicolas Mikola; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Theobald (Mary) and Henry "Hank" Theobald (Carolyn).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 5:30 PM and at 6:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Church Capital Campaign, 1849 Lincoln Ave., Whiting, IN 46394, would be appreciated.
