He is survived by: his wife Diana Miller (Applegate) of Greenfield; his son Greg Mulkey (Crissa) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Nathan Mulkey and Kathryn "Kate" Mulkey; his siblings, Dawn Cronin of California and David Mulkey of Valparaiso, Indiana; and his niece Amy Jo Tolson of California.
