He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasil Blackwell and Jessie Ellen Blackwell (Phillips); and his wife Lynda Blackwell. He is survived by: his son John Gregory Blackwell; his brother Fred Blackwell; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Blankenship, Robert Linder and Daniel Wolfe (Michelle); and his sibling's children, Molly, Claire, Anne Wolfe, McKenzie Linder, Thomas and Brooks Utterback.
