John Richard Hargrove Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 25, 2026, at the age of 78, John Richard Hargrove of Wilkinson, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid John Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jeane and Mary Helen Hargrove (Marks); and his wife Linda Adeen Brooks. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Armstrong (Brian) and Lisa Martin (Cale). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Branch United Methodist Church and/or to a nature preserve as John loved his time in nature.
