Peggy Jean DeLay Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 22, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Peggy Jean DeLay (Wilkinson, Indiana). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lawrence and Gladys Lucille Johns (Oldham); her husband James W. DeLay; her daughter Cindy DeLay Winter (Brent) of Columbus; her son-in-law Michael M. Rosecrans; and her sisters, Elizabeth Long and Betty Brumfield.

She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Rosecrans (late Michael) of St. Johns, Jama Wade (Rick) of Cincinnati and Terri DeLay (Raymond Sjaarda) of Hunt Valley, Maryland; her grandchildren, Kathryn Rosecrans, Amanda Rosecrans, Eric Wade, Brieann Beckner, Natalie Moss, Autumn Reynolds, Bradley Winter, Chelsea Eads, Amy Spann, Brent Winter, Alexandra Sjaarda and Andrea Sjaarda; and her close friend Bill Meyers.

While the Covid pandemic inhibited many activities, she greatly enjoyed weekly music performances with the other residents there, many of whom danced to the music with her.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
