We announce the death of Linda D. Sturgeon of Williams, Indiana, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Linda will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Linda’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reno Blake and Eva Blake (Clark); and her siblings, Ronnie Blake, Joan Blake, Ina Feathers and Juanita Morris.
She is survived by: her husband Hulan Sturgeon; and her sons, John Smith Jr. and James Smith. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes (818 18th St, Bedford, IN 47421). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
