He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl J. Phelps and Mary Phelps (Davies); and his siblings, Giles Phelps and Ceinwen Clark. He is survived by: his wife Doris Bockhofer; his children, Brent Phelps (Cindy) of Beavercreek, OH and Ann Schrock (Kent) of Goshen, IN; his granddaughter Amy Heldreth (James) of Mentone; his sons, Matt Schrock of Graham, TX and James Schrock of Goshen, IN; and his stepgrandson Thomas Hart J. D. of Florida. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
