With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Evelyn Rice of Williamsport, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles William and Mary Zelma Lister (Jenkins); her son Herbert Laverne Rice, Jr.; her stepdaughter Rebeca Slavens; and her siblings, Anna Ellen Butler, Maxine Knipe, Barbara Johnson, Myrtle Fern Lister, Everett, Ernest, Wilbur, John, Charles, Robert and Luraine Lister.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Bingham (Gene) of Somerset, KY, Lorna Conover (Patrick), Peggy Sue Terrazas (Jesus) of Whiting, IN, Edna Wesley (Barry) of Science Hill, KY, Emma Carr, Betty Rothrock (Rick) and Dorothea Roarks (Fred); and her stepson Boston Laverne "Butch" Pritchett (Linda). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren.
