It is with sadness that the passing of George Raymond Van Deraa Sr. (Winamac, Indiana) is shared. George, born on May 21, 1943, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Deraa, and Retha Van Deraa, Jr. (Porter). He is survived by: his wife Faith Van Deraa (Kibbons); his children, Kendall Willhite, George Raymond Van Deraa, Jr., James R. Van Deraa, Heather Urbaniak and Tim Van Deraa; his grandchildren, Kristen Updike, Grant Willhite, Jimmy Van Deraa, Allicia Van Deraa, Olympia Kandell, Legace Urbaniak, Avery Urbaniak, Loiselle Urbaniak, Jackson Van Deraa and Helm Urbaniak; his great grandchildren, Riley, Reese, Remi, Asher, Lennox, Dawson, Niko, Mia and Ava; his brother-in-law David Kibbons; and his pet Pokey. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Frain Mortuary (305 E Main St, Winamac, IN 46996). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Liberty Baptist Church (2089 S. Liberty Rd. Rochester, IN 46975).
