He was predeceased by : his parents, Rudolph Rose, and Mollie Rose, Sr. (Rater); his wife Geraldine "Jerry" Fredel of Peter's Catholic Church; and his brothers, Charles Rose and Edward Rose.

He is survived by : his children, Susan Knebel (Darwin) of Winamac, Jeff Rose (Emily) of Lexington and Laurie Davis (Dewain) of Winamac; his brother James "Jim" Rose (Bertha) of North Judson; and his grandchildren, Matthew Knebel (Trisha), Eric Knebel (Jennifer), Jordon Rose, Justin Rose, Brittany Larson (Steven) and Brandon Davis (Shelby). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
