He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Irvin and Mary Emmer Halcomb (Holcomb); his wife Molene Bates of Roxana, Kentucky.; his siblings, Lawrence Halcomb, Warren Halcomb, Clarence Halcomb, Ross Halcomb, Willmer Halcomb, Wallace Halcomb, Harry Halcomb, Tolbert Halcomb, Mary Jackson and Ruth Partin; his siblings-in-law, Delois Halcomb, Praxedes Halcomb, Arlyn Halcomb, Mary Sue Halcomb, Mary Della Halcomb, Imogene Halcomb, Barbara Halcomb, Ules Goodman, Clarence Jackson, Dorsey Swafford and Clyde Partin; and his son-in-law Albert Nunley.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Halcomb (Donna) of Centerville, Indiana, Teresa Campbell (Mark) of Centerville, Indiana, Thursa Short (Kainan) of Ridgeville and Ted Halcomb of Portland, Indiana; his grandchildren, Ashley Vance (Jason), Kolt Halcomb (Alyssa), Nicole Fairchild (Michael), Eric Campbell (Anna), Keith Nunley (Kate), Serina Vipperman, Annie Nunley (Brent Lee), Toby Short, Theron Short, Addy Halcomb (Dawson Ward) and Blaine Hawkey; his great grandchildren, Blake White, Vanessa Vance, Jason Vance, AJ Nunley, Koby Nunley, Ally Vipperman, Reagan Vipperman, Thomas Fairchild, Beatrice Fairchild, Logan Campbell and Avery Sue Campbell; and his sisters, Eva Goodman of Millsboro and Jessie Swafford (Zam) of Ringgold, Georgia..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home (248 E South St, Winchester, IN 47394). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Randolph County Historical Society, 416 S Meridian Street, Winchester, IN 47394.
