He is survived by: his wife Nikki Bastian; his children, Todd Bastian and Jill Truax (James Truax Jr.); his siblings, Ron Bastian of Willcox, AZ and Judy McMechan (Robert McMechan); his siblings-in-law, Nadine Bastian, Jackie Carrier, Huguette Choisnet, Leona Hagel, Michelle Mason (Peter) and Paul D'Astous (Therese); and his grandchildren, Jake Truax, Michael Bastian, Sara Bastian, Emily Truax and Hannah Truax.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home (248 E South St, Winchester, IN 47394). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (514 W Washington St, Winchester, IN 47394). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Fountian Park Cemetery.
