We announce the death of David Louis Ewert of Winona Lake, Indiana, who passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 90. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ewert and Matilda Ewert (Peruzzi); his wife Lillian Holtz of Alden; his daughter Sarah Phillips; his son-in-law Barry Phillips; and his brother Edwin Ewert.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara (Brad) of Warsaw, IN; his grandchildren, Jason Settle (Jenny) of Oak Park, IL, Daniel Settle (Lauren) of Richmond, VT, Jessica Hart (Ryan) of Yazoo City, MS, Jana Phillips of Lancaster, PA, Sharon Morris (Brad) of Lancaster, PA and Elisabeth Barnes (Andrew) of Durham, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Carrie, Alida, Emmett, Winona, Karis, Anakin, Ty, Will, Victor and Teresa.
