He was predeceased by: his parents, George Seward and Eva Seward; his son Tanner Seward; and his sister Sandra Murray. He is survived by: his wife Ann Seward of Winona Lake; his children, Taylor Seward II of North Manchester, Sage Casper of North Manchester, Brody Shively (Katie) of Plymouth and Cale Shively (Cindy) of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Ali, Emma, Cameron, Spencer, Ben, Chase and Vivian; and his siblings, Dr. Steven Seward (Joyce) of Fort Wayne and Cynthia Priser of Nappanee.
