He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Buehler and Evelyn Buehler; and his siblings, Bert Buehler and Wendy Austin. He is survived by: his wife Martha Buehler of Winona Lake; his children, Shannon Armstrong (Brian) of Indianapolis and Matthew Buehler (Jennifer) of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Avery, Sam Armstrong, A. J., Tyler and Elliott Buehler; and his sister Cathy Gerdes (George).
