She was predeceased by : her parents, Clyde Carson and Mary Latha McElhinney (Campbell); and her brother Lloyd McElhinney. She is survived by : her husband Fritz Johnson; her children, Tim Johnson (Lisa) of Champaign and Melanie Kleinhans (Randy) of Warsaw, Indiana; her grandchildren, Allie Ruschell (Kyle), Timmie Johnson, Carley Slater (David), Lauren Miller (Mathis), Eric Kleinhans (Teresa), Jenny Poe (James) and Emily Skaar (Ryan); her sisters, Zelda Garretson and Sharon Galloway; her sister-in-law Kathy McElhinney; and her pet Beary. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church (SRPC) Vacation Bible School, 25204 160th Avenue, Morning, Sun, Iowa.
