It is with sadness that the passing of Amanda Michelle Wertman of Winslow, Indiana is shared. Amanda, born on July 8, 1985, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Michael Thompson; her sister Amelia Thompson; her parents-in-law, Donald Wertman and Donna Wertman; her sister-in-law Starr Wertman; and her grandfather Denver Barrett.
She is survived by: her husband Simon Wertman; her son Theodore Wertman (Mother Sheila Boger); her brother Jeremiah Thompson (Kristy); her brother-in-law Nathan Wertman (Kathy); her grandmother Georgia Barrett; and her nieces and nephews, Lillian, Magdalen, Nola, Olen, Chloe, Lincoln, Caiden and Adeline.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mosaic Church (420 E Illinois St, Petersburg, IN 47567). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Girl Scout of Southern Indiana or to Pike County Youth Softball League.
