He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Glenn Oberlander and Betty Oberlander Marital (Bobbitt); his wife Peggy A. Oberlander of Lafayette; his daughters, Deanna Frey (John) of Remington and Cheryl Firkins (Tim) of Wolcott; his grandchildren, T. J. Firkins, Megan Federer, Carrie Clark, Lindsey Firkins, Ashley Frey, Greta Hale, Shane Frey and Cora Oberlander; his sisters, Linda Fields of Lafayette and Sandy Fiedler (John) of Fort Wayne; and his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Pender (Nancy) of Dallas, Texas. He was also cherished by Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Cousins.

Memorials may be given to the Palestine Christian Church of Wolcott, Indiana, or to the wishes of the donor.

Growing up with and being a neighbor of Larry's in Wolcott, during our younger yeas, created many memories. These memories are still a part of my life. During this period of mourning, it is my wish, that each of you will become stronger, because of the legacy that Larry left behind. May his soul now rest in peace.”
