He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Mathew and Lena Mathew; his children, Marvin Mathew Jr. and Arlene Sumpter (Bill); and his siblings, Virgil Mathew, Rosella Nowviskie, Eileen Peters and Marian Mullins.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine DeLisa of Long Island; and his children, Alan Mathew (Ruth) of Reynolds, Wendy Hancock (Barry) of Wolcott, Elaina Balser (John) of Valparaiso and Brian Mathew of Wolcott. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington, Indiana.
