He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Robert Russell, Sr. and Golda Irene Russell (McCreary); his former wife Myra J. Russell (Smith); and his wife Judy Irene Russell (Smart). He is survived by: his children, Herman Lehman (Susan) of Kendallville, John Robert Russell (Jennifer Groom) of Wolcottville, Nanette Russell of Kendallville and Natalie Bontrager (Bruce) of Shipshewana; his stepchildren, Pam Green (Carl) of LaGrange, Penny Lego (Mike) of Three Rivers, Michigan, Peggy Anderson (Nate) of Three Rivers, Michigan and Lyle Newcomer of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Carrie Tibbs (Matt), Jeremy Lehman (Tiffany), Nikita Parchem (Brian), Kyley Crews (Alex), Tristan Eagleson, Joshua Russell (Kayla), Hope Russell, Jadynne Russell, Xena Gibson and Chase Gibson; and his siblings, Eldon Robert Russell, Jr. (Jan) of Wolcottville and Judith Bruner (Larry) of South Milford. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM.
