It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Meier of Worthington, Indiana, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheldon Meier and Jennie Meier (Yates); his wife Marilyn Meier (Groff); and his siblings, Sheldon Meier, Jr., Charles Meier, Paul Meier, William Meier, Don Meier, Jerry Meier, Linda Tryon, Betty Chenoweth, Catherine Mason and Steve Meier.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Sue Hause (Kevin) of White Pine, TN, Cynthia Jean Buskirk (Lee) of Worthington and Robert Douglas Meier (Lori) of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren, Jonathon Hause, Jacob Hause (Whitney), Taylor Webb (Will), Alexandria Hause (Ryan Frazier), Josh Buskirk (Stephanie) and Casey Arthur (Michael); and his sisters, Mary Mitchell and Roberta "Jean" McCammon. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
