With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice J Mowery of Yorktown, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Woods and Elsie Woods; her husband Vern Mowery; her stepdaughter Tammy Newton; and her siblings, Vivian Corn, Katherine Myers, Luella Wilson, Lucille Asher, Earl Woods and Charles Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Davis, Brent Erickson (Robin), Debbie Capua (late Mike) and Becky Hayes (Russ); her stepdaughters, Kimberly Oshier (Chip) and Lisa Novak (Tom); and also Penny. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Garden View Funeral Home (10501 IN-3, Muncie, IN 47303). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
