She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Applegate and Hazel Applegate (Mahoney); her husband Richard A. Van Cleave; her daughter Trena Youngkin; her grandson Zachary Van Cleave; and her siblings, Georgetta Van Arsdol, Edith Humes, Barbara Humes, Betty Yingling and Leonard Applegate.
She is survived by: her son Chris Youngkin (Sophia) of Shanghai; her grandchild Kyle of Tennessee; her son Douglass Van Cleave (Leslie) of Yorktown; her grandchildren, Brooke Phillips (Schuyler), Wesley Van Cleave (Cierra), Max Van Cleave (Kimberly) of Yorktown, Zach Van Cleave and Carson Van Cleave of Muncie; and her great grandchildren, Nash Phillips, Dax Phillips, Kohen Van Cleave and Fallon Van Cleave. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory - Mt. Pleasant Chapel (7901 W Co Rd 50 N, Muncie, IN 47304). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
