John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry David Strouse and Addie Strouse (Jones); and his siblings, William Strouse, Elmer Lee Strouse, Margaret Smith (Max), Olive Brooks (Jim) and Emma Jean Strouse.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Strouse; and his children, Debra Jean Strouse Carpenter (Donald), Kimberly Kay South and Paul Alan Strouse (Angela). He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the University Christian Church (2400 N Nebo Rd, Muncie, IN 47304). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
