He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Harting and Vera Jean Wilburn Harting; his parents-in-law, Fred and Irene Cox; his brothers, Merle and David Harting; and his nephew Jeff Harting.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Cox Harting; his children, Mark Harting (Robin) and Julia Jordan (Scott); his sisters-in-law, Louise Harting and Martha Cox Webb; his grandchildren, Cindi Satterly, Victoria Harting, Ashley Harting Ramsey (Mark Ramsey), Jessica Jordan and Rachel Combs (Christian); and his great grandchildren, Jaedon Gregory, Kenna Sizemore, Alexis, Adrian, Avery Harting, Marshall Combs, Everett Dean Combs and Lio Jordan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
