He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Ehlers and Nancy Lee Speicher Ehlers; and his aunt Bonnie Surbey (Neal). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer J. Richardson Ehlers; his children, William Ehlers (Mandy) and Emily Junger (Jon); his grandchildren, Winston, Penelope Ehlers, Leo and Evan Junger; his brothers, Joel Ehlers (Marcie) and Eric Ehlers (Tanya); his uncles, Jeff (Fernando Montenegro Torres), Bruce (Nancy) and Doug Speicher; his siblings' children, Olivia, Andrew, Matthew, James, Erica and Jonathan; and his cousins, Kara Johansen (Michael), Ellen Speicher, Diane Anderson (Bill), Eric Burkhardt (Lisa) and Bruce Burkhardt.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Doan and Mills Funeral Home (790 W Nat'l Rd, Richmond, IN 47374). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
