Thomas Schemmel Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Thomas Schemmel of Zionsville, Indiana, born in Ryan, Iowa, whose life came to an end on November 6, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Lawrence Schemmel and Beatrice Mary Schemmel; his siblings, Margaret Welter and Bobby Schemmel; and his grandson Sebastian.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Roche; his sons, William Schemmel (Luz Elena) of Cincinnati and Mark Schemmel (Maureen) of Greenwood; his grandchildren, Carlos (Marissa), Olivia, Sadie, Isabel, Jillian, Dominic, Eli, Isaac and ChristiAnna; and his great grandchildren, Mateo and Santiago. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Liguori Roman Catholic Church (1870 W Oak St, Zionsville, IN 46077). Viewing will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
