It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Chaput (Abilene, Kansas), who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Arthur Emery and Wanda Ellen Emery Weishapl (Woolard); her brother Gene Emery; her son Timothy Chaput; her grandson Logan Chaput; and her son-in-law Phillip Gale.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Chaput; her children, Debra (Reynolds), Terry Gale of Coffeyville, Cathy Evans of Hutchinson, Cynthia (Jay Smith), James Chaput of Omega, Michael (Helen Chaput) and Jeff (Crystal Chaput); and her siblings, Larry Emery and Rhonda Sieck. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be given to the ST. Andrew's Catholic School.
