She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Chaffee and Eulah Chaffee (Bergstrom); her grandparents, Effie, Daniel Bergstrom and Marie; her husband Gilbert; and her siblings, Phyllis Rosenow, Gary Chaffee, Jim Chaffee and Warren Balfour.
She is survived by: her children, Lynnette (Greg Sare), Deb (Guy Hanson) and Tim (Gary Balfour) of Medford, OR; her grandchildren, Joshua (Miranda Sare), Jennifer (Jason Morton), Jasen (Alecia Sare) and Carly (Jake Nusbaum); her great grandchildren, Marley, PJ, Benji O'Reilly, Cheyenne Hough (Zack), Dakota (Maddie), Stanton (Savannah), Kaylyn Morton, Hayes, Reece Sare and Holden Nusbaum; her great great grandchildren, Maeson, Oakley and Kohen Morton; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy (Richard), Pifer (Topeka), Carolyn Chaffee (Clay Center), Ilene Chaffee of Georgetown, IN and Leslie Stravinsky of Erie, PA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Abilene First Presbyterian Church (505 NW 3rd St, Abilene, KS 67410).
