Shirley Deters Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Deters (Abilene, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Runnebaum and Anna Runnebaum (Schafer); her husband Clarence A. Deters; and her siblings, Bernard, Ralph, Vincent, Galen Runnebaum, Evelyn Lackey, Meletta Marconett (Peggy) and Edna Jensen (Pat).
She is survived by: her son Steven Deters (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Trevor, Justin and Ashley of Abilene; her daughter Michele Cromer (Greg); and her grandchild Claire of Overland Park.
Memorials may be given to St. Aloysius Parish in Meriden, Ks. and EWTN.
