He was predeceased by: his father Wilbur Cushenbery. He is survived by: his mother Bertha Cushenbery (White); his wife Dianna Cushenbery; his sons, Evan Cushenbery of Albert and Cale Cushenbery (Mollie) of Gowrie, Iowa; his grandsons, Jackson Cushenbery of Gowrie, Iowa and Lucas Cushenbery of Gowrie, Iowa; and his brothers, Daryl Cushenbery (Tammy) and Douglas Cushenbery (Tami) of Emporia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (1425 S Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530). A prayer was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4100 Broadway Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to the Albert Fire Department, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
