He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Diehl and Nina Cathleen Diehl (Lewis); his brother George W. Diehl Jr.; and his sister-in-law Vona Diehl. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Elaine Reavis (Stuewe); his daughter Amy Summervill (Tim) of Marion, KS; his stepdaughter Lesa Dierking (Bruce) of Marysville, KS; his grandchildren, Allison Dierking, Shelby Summervill and Trent Summervill; and his siblings, Frank Diehl (Shelley) of Lawrence, KS, Glenda Lee (Terry) of Las Vegas, NV and Diana Trudo (Chris) of Wamego, KS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran School or the American Legion Post No. 32.
