She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Simmons and Sylvia Henderson Simmons; her in-laws, Adolph and Alice Maike; her daughter-in-law Jackie Maike; and her grandson Jordan.
She is survived by: her husband Sandy; her children, John Maike Jr. of Alma, KS and Rosie Spain (family: Rick, Laurie Davis, Erin Bradshaw); and her grandchildren, Johnaka McCosker (Zane), Hunter Maike (Stephanie), Charlotte, Gavin Bradshaw, Westin Maike, Brandon Yocum (Becca), Ryan Yocum (Karlee) and Alex Fank.
Memorials may be made to the Mission Valley High School Music Program or the Wabaunsee High School Music Program.
