It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Gerdes of Altamont, Kansas, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Gerdes and Inez Mae Gerdes (Kriebel); and his brother Gary Gerdes. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Gerdes of Altamont, James E. Gerdes (Kari) of Pittsburgh and Sarah Bolin of Altamont; his grandchildren, Hannah Gerdes and Nicholas Bolin; and his siblings, William Gerdes of Parsons and Carol Hill (Chuck) of Stark.

Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
