He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Otis O'Brien and Lois Matilda O'Brien (Johnson); his child Gerry; and his siblings, Jimmy, Eddie, Jack, Pat O'Brien, Leotis Freeman, Sharolyn DeMott and Georgann Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Florence Williams.

Memorials are suggested to the Angola Community Center or the Angola Community Center Scholarship Fund.
