With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Almeda Maud Shaffer in Andover, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Almeda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Almeda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy S. Grove and Lottie Edra Grove (Brown); her husband Delbert S. Shaffer; and her sister Jemima Long. She is survived by: her children, Shelley Lea Hopkins (Fred) and Dale R. Shaffer (Patricia). She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
